An annual Gabala International Music Festival of classical music held every summer since in 2009 in Gabala.

Getting There

There are a few ways to get to Gabala. It takes approximately 3 hours and a half to get by car.  It is possible to get shuttle buses from Baku international bus station complex daily..Another option is to travel by train,  they operate every weekend.

What to Expect

The festivals features performances by renowned performers from many nations as well as symphonic and philharmonic ensembles from around the world.

History

The Town of Gabala has hosted an annual international music festival since 2009. Famous musicians from 16 nations, including the USA, France, Israel, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Italy, and Spain, came together for the first Gabala International Music Festival. The Festival included a competition for young pianists as well. The contest featured five pianists from Azerbaijan, Russia, Croatia, and Japan in the final, and Ilya Maksimov of Russia took home the Grand Prix.Gabala International Music Festival has over the years featured classical, chamber, jazz, vocal, and international competitions for young pianists.
