Visit Guide to Bishkek Victory Park

The park houses several interesting sights of which a monument dedicated to the glory of the heroes of the Batken events is the most important one. A linden alley dedicated to the Kyrgyz border guards and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as a monument to the victims of the Leningrad Blockade are also located here.

Getting There

The park is remarkable for the large territory – more than 35 hectares, planted with a lot of trees: ash trees, poplars, spruce, pines, etc. The Victory Park or Pobeda Park provides benches and a bike path.

History

Pobeda Park named after Dair Asanov (also “Yuzhnie Vorota”) is a park in the southern part of the city, one of the calmest places in Bishkek.

Pobeda Park was founded in 1981 and bears the name of the hero of the World War II, artilleryman Dair Asanov. The park is located on the southern edge of Bishkek, on Baitik-Baatyr Street.
