Getting There

To get to Dubendi beach, you need to take a bus №136 at “Koroglu” metro station and later change it to bus №152 at the station of “Shuvelan Park shopping center”. You can also use a private car or go there by taxi.

What to Expect

Dubendi beaches are sandy, its water is warm and clean. You can have a good rest in front of the blue Caspian Sea and under the bright shines of the sun. There are not many umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach, therefore, you need to take the necessary items with you in advance.

History

Dubendi beaches are located in the Dubendi area. Dubendi is an Azerbaijan port and place of settlement on the Caspian Sea and oil depot, approximately 50 km northeast from Baku. The name of the settlement is originated from “du” and “bend” components which means two barriers. Dubendi is protected from strong winds and waves by Pirallahi Island.

In Dubendi, there is a cave dating back to the Bronze Age with rock paintings on it. From this area it is possible to see the Absheron lighthouse, which is considered the first and largest lighthouse built on the Absheron peninsula.
