Getting There
It is possible to reach Ismayilli by bus or rental car. Buses from Baku International Bus Terminal Complex operate every day. The trip takes 3 hours.
What to Expect
Founded in July of 1969, reserve is primarily situated on Ismailli territory, with some of it also being in the Gabala regions. The reserve’s major goal is to safeguard and expand the number of local animals.
History
Alpine, subalpine, mountain-meadow, and forest plants make up the area’s vegetation. Carpinus, Fagus, and Quercus trees dominate forested areas. Animal life is highly abundant in the reserve’s region, both in terms of species and population. Among the birds here are the common partridge (Perdix perdix), the common quail (Coturnix coturnix), the common ruffed grouse (Francolinus francolinus), the falcon (Columba palumbus), the Caucasian harrier (Tetraogallus caucasicus), the gray wolf (Canis lupus), and the common jackal (Canis aureus).), lynx (Lynx lynx), forest cat (Felis silvestris), American raccoon (Procyon lotor), forest squirrel (Martes martes), gray rabbit (Lepus europaeus) are inhabited.
