Visit Guide to Three Story Yurt

Three-story yurt is located in the Osh city center and presents a museum dedicated to Alymbek Datka, a ruling nobleman of the Alai Valley, and his wife Kurmajan Datka. A giant yurt built in three vertical sections (usually open 9am-6pm with a 1 hour lunch break) with colorful interior has a simple collection of national clothing in which to pose for photos (extra fee).

Getting There

A Three-storey yurt located in the city of Osh next to the Historical and Archaeological Museum in the Alymbek Datka park is easily reached by public transport and taxi.

What to Expect

Outside the Osh Regional Museum is a giant yurt built in three vertical sections with colorful interior, has a simple collection of national clothing in which to pose for photos (extra fee). Tree-story yurt is dedicated to 19th-century heroes Alymbek and Kurmanjan Datka.

History

A three-story yurt, installed on the territory of the Alymbek Datka ethnographic center at the foot of Sulaiman-Too in Osh city, was first built in 1995 in honor of the millennium of the Manas epic. At that moment 300 thousand soms from the local budget were spent on the construction of the yurt.

The current owner of the Three-story yurt is the “Ak elechek ayimdary” society chairman Patila Zhusuev.
