June 8, 2014 – The second festival The Spirit of Tengri was held on the Abay Square in front of the Palace of the Republic. For the first time, the festival was attended by groups representing not only the Eurasian continent. The concert brought together ethnic performers from 10 countries, and gathered more than 8 thousand spectators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 26-27, 2019, the seventh festival The Spirit of Tengri was held on Abay Square in Almaty. The festival was attended by musicians from 16 countries – Russia, Estonia, India, Mali, Mozambique, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Niger, Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Ukraine, Spain and the USA. The participants performed with a repertoire in ethno-rock, ethno-jazz, ethno-funk, ethno-pop, groove, New Age and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Spirit of Tengri festival is famous for its artisan fair, where one can buy clothes, shoes, jewelry, musical instruments, and handmade souvenirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the year, social network viewers cast their votes for musicians performing ethno music in a modern style, then the besties hit parade took place on the CTV channel.
