Located in the heart of Baku\u2019s Old City, near the Shirvanshahs\u2019 Palace, Yay Gallery sits amongst designated UNESCO world heritage sites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can reach there by metro \u2013 \u201cIcherisheher\u201d metro station is the nearest one to the Old City. You can also use a bus \u2013 buses \u211610, 18, 65 stop near the Old City. There is 5 minutes distance between the\u00a0 bus stops and gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What to Expect<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
YAY Gallery is the leading contemporary art gallery in Azerbaijan, representing pioneering Azerbaijani artists across several generations and genres. Since being founded in Baku in 2012, it has championed the careers of key Azerbaijani artists who have gained international recognition in recent years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yay (meaning \u201cshare\u201d in Azerbaijani) shares all proceeds from sales of work between the artists and YARAT. The gallery`s artistic agenda is focused on showing the most talented and promising young artists as well as more established artists from Azerbaijan and abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond its immediate artistic program, the gallery regularly hosts lectures, readings, film screenings and workshops conducted by the artists, with the goal of becoming a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the artists and the wider public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
