What to Expect<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Iron Gates of the Fortress give a special grandeur to the Ganja Fortress Gates-Archeology and Ethnography Museum. The created monument complex is a restored version of the gates of the city called “Mausoleum Gate ”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Historical events are reflected in the complex in chronological order. This is an important experience for visitors to learn and recognize the history, culture, and architectural features of ancient Ganja. Guests who visit the mausoleum of the genius poet of Ganja, Nizami Ganjavi, can also come to the Nizami Ganjavi museum located nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Ganja Fortress Gates – Archeology and Ethnography Museum, which is located near the city, was built from red brick in 2012-2014. This unique building is a reconstructed image of one of the five fortress gates that existed in ancient Ganja. This example of metalwork, called the “mausoleum gate”, was built on both sides of the Ganja-Baku highway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total length is 50 meters, the height of the bastions reaches 22 meters. The main part of the fortress is five-story and together with the plinth seven-story. A 75-meter national flag is installed in front of it and the coat of arms of Ganja is placed in the right part of the complex. A 62-meter-long underground tunnel connects both forts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
