What to Expect<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Historical-Cultural-Ethnographic Centre is a unique place where everyone can learn the history of the Kazakh people. The Centre houses 7 large different rooms where one can find detailed information from the Paleolithic era to the present day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first hall is devoted to the history of Turkestan in the early era, the second – spread of the Islam religion, third – Turkestan history during the Genghis Khan and Amir Timur reign, the forth hall is concentrated to Khoja Akhmet Yasavi, fifth – Turkestan the capital of the Kazakh Khanate, sixth -Turkestan in 19-20 centuries, and the seventh hall – Future development of Turkestan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2010, on Independence Day, a three-storey building of the Historical-Cultural-Ethnographic Centre with an area of 4,600 square meters was opened. The center houses 8 exhibition halls, a conference hall, an artisans’ workshop, a souvenir shop, and research rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building of the Historical-Cultural-Ethnographic Centre is located close to the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi, and was designed by architect Gabit Sadyrbaev.
