Cossack Eli, translated as “the country of the Kazakhs”, is the monument in the form of a snow-white column with a gilded figure of the mythical bird Samruk on the top of it. At the base, on each of the four sides, there are decorative niches with bas-reliefs describing the main milestones in the history of the country’s independence.
