Getting There<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Baku Maritime Park or Baku Bulvar is located at the foot of the Caspian Sea. You can reach the boulevard area by bus or by taxi, or just use the undergrounds and cross the road from the city center near the Hilton hotel, \u201cSahil\u201d metro station or any other underground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to go there by car, you can park it inside Park Boulevard Mall, Deniz Mall, or other open-air parking areas on your way. If you want to use a bus, buses \u2116 5, 10, 18, 88 and 125 go to the stop \u201cPuppet Theatre\u201d. You can reach boulevard using a metro, too \u2013 there is an underground in front of the \u201cSahil\u201d metro station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to Expect<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can walk there or ride a bicycle in the designated area. There is a point near the Ferris wheel where you can rent it. Boulevard also has a big number of restaurants and attractions for kids, such as shooting range, carousels, Ferris wheel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can visit Park Boulevard Mall or Deniz Mall for shopping or take a bout tour from the ticket office in front of the Park Boulevard Mall. There are also museums and art centers located in this area, such a Carpet Museum, Surakhani Ship Museum, Mugham Center, Stone Chronicle Museum, Puppet Theatre, \u201cYarat\u201d Contemporary Art Center. National Flag Square and Baku Crescent Bay project are located in this area, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to find some interesting place to eat \u2013 you can choose a \u201cLittle Venice\u201d, which is one of the biggest restaurants in this area. It looks like a small town with islands, channels, bridges, and gondolas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is also a Tourism Information Center behind the Park Boulevard Mall. You can visit it to get expert help and a city map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Baku Boulevard is a promenade established in 1909 which runs parallel to Baku’s seafront. Its history goes back more than 100 years, to a time when Baku oil barons built their mansions along the Caspian shore and when the seafront was artificially built-up inch by inch. The park traditionally starts at Freedom Square continuing west to the Old City and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2012, the New Boulevard has virtually doubled the length to 3.75 km, extending the promenades to National Flag Square. In 2015 White City Boulevard added a further 2 km to the east of Freedom Square and reports have suggested that eventually the boulevard might be as long as 26 km, including Bibiheybat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
