Getting There<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can get there by using a public transport N1 and taxi. Public transport is going to the Heydar Aliyev prospect from the city center (Ali shopping center); you can use it until the top of the street of Nizami park and will reach to the park roughly 5 minutes by walking. You can order taxi online or by calling taxi service next to the Nizami park from the city center (\u201c0066\u201d taxi service) and will arrive to the park 5 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to Expect<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Nizami park has small cafes, chess school, museum where tourists and local people can visit. The entertainment area for children is located inside of the park. Due to working in summer season, visitors can play billiard only in summer. \u201cShahdag Guba & Truskavets Medical Sanatorium\u201d, guesthouses and small supermarkets are situated near the park. \u201cShahdag Guba & Truskavets Medical Sanatorium\u201d small cafes, restaurants Wi-Fi network for the guests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to go to the Red village, you can go down with \u201c40 stairs\u201d and cross \u201cArched bridge\u201d.\u00a0 Next to the Arched bridge, you can see \u201cCheshme\u201d and \u201cDiyar\u201d restaurants which offer both local and European cuisines to its visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The park is named in honor of Nizami Ganjavi and believed to have been built by German prisoners in 1946. A monument to the genius poet of Azerbaijan Nizami Ganjavi, statues of other poets, and historical figures were erected in the park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around the monument, bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Nizami’s works have been placed throughout the park. Chess school, Guba region Museum of History and Etnography, \u201cForty stairs\u201d and a tomb are also situated in the park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is one of the most visited and relaxation places for city population. It is also possible to enter the park from Red Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
