Deosai National Park is a rugged 843 square kilometre high-altitude alpine plain of undulating hills surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Western Himalayas and the Karakoram Range. Separating the Skardu and Astore districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Deosai ranks as the second-highest plateau in the world.
