The Aisha Bibi Mausoleum is the best piece of medieval architecture, dated back to the XI-XII centuries. The outer side of the walls of the mausoleum is covered with 62 different terracotta ceramic tiles with elaborate carvings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The building exterior is rich in various combinations, different colors and ornaments in geometric chord. This is the only monument in Central Asia and Kazakhstan decorated with ornaments. On the 18th row of terracotta ceramic tiles was carved “autumn … clouds … the earth is a miracle …” in Kufi script. On the inner side of the mausoleum is the Earthen Cradle. According to legend, the mausoleum was built by her beloved Shah-Mahmud Karakhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
