Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the dynamic-content-for-elementor domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Getting There

By driving on asphalt road.

What to Expect

Shambhala Energy Centre, a fast growing Buddhist monastic site in the remote Gobi desert, has become one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in today’s Mongolia.

Visit Center early in the morning as locals believe it is best to enter the Energy Center right at sunrise. The site is surrounded by 108 stupas that charge you with energy but also gives you relaxing vibes.

History

Danzan Ravjaa taught his disciples the “burning of the sins” ritual and this is something you can also do. You write all your sins on paper, and burn the paper in a hole in the rocks, at the entrance to Shambhala.

Danzan Ravjaa educated his monks to get rid of pride, jealousy and greed, through this ritual, before entering the holy Shambhala which is a place of peace, tranquility and happiness. Another ritual is to lie down on the ground, absorbing the energy of Shambhala.

Shambala is the name given to a legendary kingdom in Central Asia, but whose precise location remains unknown; a haven of peace, where all the inhabitants would live in joy and harmony, a kind of Garden of Eden. Other interpretations, however, attribute to Shambala a more spiritual and abstract nature, and do not see it as a real physical place in the strict sense.

Facilities Available

There are meditation caves surrounding the area as well as the Muumun Khad (Breast Rock).
