Burhan Khaldun Mountain is part of the Khan Khentii Strict protected area, located in Khentii Province.  Archaeologists found over 800 burial sites in this mountain. It is considered to be the birthplace of Chinggis khaan, as well as one of the rumored locations of his tomb. The elevation of the mountain is 2350 meters above sea level. The mountain is home to many wild animals such as boars, wolves, foxes, moose and deer.
