Visit Guide to Hiking Miranjani Peak

Miranjani is the highest peak in Galyat Region which is located at the elevation of 2,992 metres, in Abbottabad District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Province of Pakistan. It is located in the Namli Maira area, in Ayubia National Park, 80 kilometres north of Islamabad. Meranjani Trek is a feast for hiking lovers and even beginners.

Getting There

Miranjani Pis located at the crossroads of Murree and Abbottabad with a distance of 40Kms from Abbottabad and 75 km approx. from Islamabad.

By Air: The nearest airport to Galiyat Region is the Islamabad international airport.

By roads: The best option is to rent a car or taxi from Rawalpindi/Islamabad for a drop or take a bus from G T road Rawalpindi to and then take a taxi/car to Galiyat (Abbotabad).

There is no direct railway connection to the hill station. For those trying to reach Ayubia can use train to Islamabad from there on can reach the hill station via a local transport.

What to Expect

The total length of the track is about 4.69 km and a net elevation of about 600 meters. Most of the path is soft dirt sparse with small rocks patches and hence is very easy traverse with little effort. Intermidiat to expert trekkers should be able to do it in 1 hour to 2 hours. The path to the peak is canopied with tall trees and is abundant in greenery. Other peak of Galiyat are easily available from the top.
