Visit Guide to Bakuriani Ski Resort

Bakuriani Ski Resort is located in the Borjomi Municipality, on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range, 1.700 meters above sea level. Bakuriani is about 180 kilometers away from Tbilisi. Bakuriani climate is famous for its natural treatment benefits. January/February is the best time to visit the resort. The snow during that time gives an excellent opportunity to skiers to enjoy their time in that magical winter wonderland.

Getting There

It takes about two or three hours to get to Bakuriani from Tbilisi. One can go there by car or a minibus. Minibusses depart from Station Square and Didube Bus Station. However, the road is covered with snow, and sometimes it’s iced in Bakuriani.

What to Expect

Bakuriani is rich in entertainment and recreational facilities. There are many different kinds of activities and opportunities for skiers and non-skiers; many restaurants, amusement parks, skating rinks, snow scooters, etc.

Facilities Available

There are five ski tracks in Bakuriani. Ski lifts and the funicular open at 10 AM and close at 5 PM. Didveli ski track is a wonderful place to ski and enjoy a unique experience that the colorful lights, which go along the full length, provide.

Travelers can also enjoy night skiing, starting at 17:00 PM and ending at 21:30 PM.
