Visit Guide to Baku Central Park

A big park with alleys and glass bridge built in modern style in the center of Baku.

Getting There

You can get there by bus №6 from the “Icherisheher’ metro station or by metro – “Nizami” metro station is 10 minutes away from the park. There is also a bus №96 from Nizami metro station going to the park area.

What to Expect

The first part of the park consists of six parts connected by overpasses and lanes. In total, the park has an area of 20 hectares, of which 14 hectares are planted with greenery. Central Park has 7 recreation and playgrounds for people of all ages, chess, backgammon and sports facilities, swings for the little ones, football field. There are 9 fountains in the park. More than 2,100 19 types of trees and more than 137,000 flowers and shrubs were planted here.

History

Central Park is located on Abdulla Shaik, Nariman Narimanov and Mirza Agha Aliyev streets in Baku. The opening of the first part of the park took place on May 22, 2019. The park was designed by the Austrian architect Jans Hoffmann. You can also notice a middle age water wells of Baku city that are exhibited on the territory of the park.
