Visit Guide to Baku Shikhov Beach

Shikhov Beach is a resort area with a number of beaches in Shikhov, southwest of central Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, and adjacent to the Shikhov Cape.

Getting There

To get to the Shikhov Beach you need to take a bus №125 from “Sahil” metro station. After you reach the seaside, you still need to walk for 5 minutes to reach the beach area.

If you want to use a taxi or a private car, you need to drive along the Salyan highway along the coast till you reach one of the beaches.

What to Expect

Shikhov Beach is one of the Baku’s famous beach complexes and lies 9.5 kilometres to the south of the city centre. Some beaches in this area even have their own Aqua Park with water slides. Others have hotel, and swimming pools on their territory.  In Ramada Hotel, for those who enjoy active water sport activities, visitors can enjoy windsurfing and sup boarding.

There is a “Shikh” sanatorium, visitors can take the thermal hydrosulfide water baths containing a small amount of iodine and bromine under medical supervision, makes “Shikh” the best place for people suffering from musculoskeletal diseases.
