Visit Guide to Borjomi National Park

Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is located in the central part of Georgia. The total area amounts to 107 649 ha, which is astonishingly more than 1,5% of the country’s territory. The protected areas of Borjomi-Kharagauli include six districts – Borjomi, Kharagauli, Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni, Khashuri, and Baghdati. The park administration manages 4 types of protected areas – Borjomi Nature Reserve, Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, Nedzvi Managed Reserve and Goderdzi fossil forest Natural Monument.

You can use public transport, rent a private car, or taxi.

What to Expect

It is one of the most adventurous destinations in Georgia. The Park offers you multi-day unforgettable hiking tours. In total, 12 trails are marked – there are tourist shelters, picnic and camping spots available, as well as fire pits. In addition, The National Park also offers horse-riding, cycling, snowshoe trails, cultural and educational tours. There are rare species of animals and plants within the Park’s territory.

History

Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park’s tourist route network is up to 400-2,642 meters above sea level, and it allows hiking for one or several days. All the paths are marked, and well-arranged – Tourist shelters, picnic spots, and camping sites are available along the routes.
