Getting There
The Park Complex is within about 30-40 minutes walks and 10-15 -minutes drive from the city center. . You can use the public transportation to the park which will take 10-15 minutes. The road to The Heydar Aliyev Park Complex is accessible and convenient and that’s the main reason why some of the tourists prefer to walk to the park.
What to Expect
At the entrance to the park, visitors will have a nice time enjoying the magnificent architectural style and majestic appearance of the complex. Also, the eye-catching seven-story Victory Arch attracts visitors with its grandeur. The arch, which is 50 meters in length, with a width of 20 meters and height of 38 meters, also has a 30-meter-high square, restaurant, and museum. The columns of the arch are adorned with the combination of various stone grids and ornaments which gives it a fascinating view and attracts visitors’ attention.
Tourists, local people and city guests to the park can enjoy various activities catering to different ages and interests. You can explore activities from outdoor gyms to walking, meditation and just relaxing in the fresh air under the open sky. History
The Heydar Aliyev Park Complex is one of the most interesting examples of Ganja architecture during the independence period, and the Arch of Triumph which is considered its main dominant was built in 2012-2014. As a rule, the Ganja arches of Victory, built in honor of certain people’s historical victories, national heroes, enlightened deeds of political figures and significant events. Also, it was built in honor of the liberation of Azerbaijan from the conflicting socio-political situation.
This area, which is included in the list of five parks in the world for its beauty and grandeur, covers an area of 450 hectares and is 2 kilometers long.
