Getting There
Diribaba Mausoleum is located on the way to Shamakhi, around a 1.5-hour ride from Baku. You may go there by car or take a bus from the Baku International Bus Station going to Shamakhi.
What to Expect
The two-storeyed mausoleum is located opposite an ancient cemetery. It is believed by locals that a sacred person was buried here and remained imperishable. Today, the mausoleum attracts many pilgrims and visitors alike. The mausoleum is “embedded” in a cliff, making it look like hanging in the air.
History
The mausoleum is believed to be related to the 15th century, as it bears an inscription of its architect and refers to the period of Shirvanshah rulers.
