Getting There

There are two routes from Baku to Lankaran: the old Baku-Astara highway and the recently constructed North-South highway. These routes can be taken by private vehicle, taxi, intercity bus, and minibus.

If you’re driving, start by taking the new highway bridge in the Girdeni village area of the Lankaran district. Continue toward the Lavangi circle, then take Shahidlar Alley to Zarifa Aliyeva Street, which will lead you to H. Aliyev Memorial Park in the city center where the H. Aliyev Center is located. Alternatively, you can get a taxi at the Lavangi Circle, where the local intercity bus station is also situated.

If you prefer public transport, take a bus or and get off at MirMustafa Khan Street. From there, it is just a 100m walk to H. Aliyev Park.

History

After undergoing reconstruction in 2012, the center now spans a total area of 3,000 m². The elegantly designed interior of this two-story building offers a wide range of facilities. Visitors can enjoy a cinema equipped with 3D technology, an electronic library, an internet club, a café, a linguistics room, an art studio, a photo studio, an exhibition hall, rooms for chess and intellectual games, computer courses, and even a virtual classroom.

Through the center’s electronic library, users can contact the relevant libraries of 45 countries around the world. The center is well-equipped for hosting events, featuring a 300-seat conference hall and an 80-seat conference hall. These spaces are ideal for various events in the socio-political and cultural life of the region and are equipped with modern acoustic systems.
